Surface Roughness Analysis in High Speed Micro-Milling of Monel 400 Alloy Using Statistical Methods

چکیده

Monel 400 is a nickel based super alloy containing copper as the main alloying element. Its usage in industries like marine, aerospace and chemical, makes it an attractive choice for research. It exhibits high strength excellent corrosion resistance. also classified hard to cut material because of its lower thermal conductivity, higher hardness value ability react with cutting tool at temperature. High speed micro-milling coupled different coatings was used analyze machinability Monel. The surface finish result this study contributes towards use multiple applications. Key Process parameters including speed, depth cut, feed rate per tooth were selected input variables. Effect these key process on roughness analyzed through statistical analysis variance (ANOVA). Feed having confidence level 95% found be most significant parameter contribution ratio 27.86%.
